EEG-fMRI of Pain and Cognition

Our previous work implicates alpha activity as measured by electroencephalography (EEG) as a predictor of pain sensitivity. This project intends to examine the underlying mechanisms of this prognostic EEG biomarker of pain using state-of-the-art neuroimaging tools, specifically by combining EEG with simultaneous functional MRI (EEG-fMRI).
